New Delhi, Oct 13 (IANS) With the Commonwealth Games concluding Thursday, the Organising Committee is set to move on — offering for sale the kitchen equipment used during the sporting extravaganza.

Among the items up for sale are crockery, cutlery, LPG systems, equipment to prepare and serve food, and linen.

An official of the Organising Committee said: ‘The kitchen equipment up for sale was used to prepare 36,000 meals every day. We are expecting a good response since the equipments conform to international standards.’

The Organising Committee expects hotels, restaurants, caterers and kitchen equipment manufacturers, industrial kitchen operators and food-related industries will show interest in the sale.

The interested can inspect the equipment at the Games Village near the Akshardham temple Oct 16-21 and place an offer.

The Organising Committee has put in advertisements for the sale in major newspapers of the city.
