Karachi, March 29 (Inditop.com) Pakistan Monday appointed Olympian Hanif Khan as the new chief selector, replacing Hasan Sardar, in the aftermath of the national team’s disastrous 12th position in the Hockey World Cup in New Delhi earlier this month.
Qasim Zia, the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) president, announced that Muhammad Usman, Arshad Chaudhry and Musadaq Hussain will be the new members of the national selection committee.
Qasim dissolved the national selection committee after Pakistan lost the 11th position match to minnows Canada for their worst-ever World Cup defeat.
The PHF chief also said the federation will soon hire a foreign coach and a sports psychologist for the national team.
