New Delhi, May 30 (IANS) Japan’s Miho Kowase and China’s Bowen Ouyang won the Asian Junior Tennis Championships in girls and boys section at the R.K. Khanna Stadium here Sunday.
Ninth-seeded Kowase, who took out seventh seeded Indian Rishika Sunkara Saturday, avoided an all-Chinese sweep when she defeated second-seeded Ran Tian of China 6-1, 7-6(4).
In the all-Chinese boys’ final, second-seeded Bowen Ouyang, like last week, outlasted top seed Chuhan Wang 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 in a thrilling clash.
It was a double delight for Ouyang who partnering compatriot Xin Gao also clinched the doubles trophy Saturday.
