Bangalore, Sep 29 (IANS) In a must-win game for both sides, home team Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) late Thursday set Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) a 170-run target in their Champions League T-20 match at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in this tech hub.
Put in to bat, RCB made 169/9 in their 20 overs, with skipper Daniel Vittori (44) and middle-order batsman Raajoo Bhatkal (25) accelerating the scoring with a seventh wicket partnership of 61 runs 32 balls.
Knight Riders contained RCB with some brilliant bowling and tight fielding to 91/6 in 13 overs, with Rajat Bhatia, Iqbal Abdulla, Brett Lee and Yusuf Pathan among the wickets.
