Gurgaon, March 13 (IANS) Kiran Matharu fired six-under 66 in a flawless third and final round to claim a four-shot victory over veteran Smriti Mehra in the eighth leg of the Hero Women’s Professional Golf Tour at the Classic Golf & Country Club here on Friday.

This is Kiran’s second title in six appearances this season. Smriti finished second with a total score of 203, followed by Hero Order of Merit leader Vani Kapoor.
Seasoned Kiran played sensational golf throughout the week, and Friday was no different. She shot six birdies on the second, seventh, 10th, 11th, 15th and 18th holes. She finished her campaign with a total score of 199 after the final round.
Smriti could not maintain her momentum after carding a record breaking seven-under 65 in the second round. She scored 69 in the final roudn. She started impressively, carding a birdie on the first hole.
She added another birdie on the sixth hole before dropping a shot on the eighth in her front nine. She tried her best to catch up by carding three birdies on the 13th, 15th and 18th holes, but a bogey on the 14th hole marred her effort.

Delhi youngster Vani finished third with a total score 206 after 54 holes. She carded 68 in the final round with birdies on the second, fifth, seventh, ninth, 11th and 12th holes, while dropping shots on the 13th and 16th holes.
Noida’s Vaishavi Sinha took the fourth spot, carding 70 on the final day to finish with a total score of 209.

Pune’s talented Shweta Galande finished fifth with a total score of 211, followed by Kolkata’s Neha Tripathi at sixth position with 213.
Panchkula’s Amandeep Drall with 215, and Delhi’s Gauri Monga with 217, finished seventh and eighth respectively.
