Los Angeles, July 27 (Inditop.com) India’s No.1 Somdev Devvarman has entered the final round of $630,500 LA Tennis Open qualifiers.
The 152nd-ranked Somdev overcame a late challenge from 175th-ranked Slovak Luka Gregorc, 6-1, 7-6(1), in the second round here Sunday to reach the final.
Somdev had beaten Italian Andrea Stoppini, ranked 201, 6-1, 6-2 in the first round Saturday.
The Indian next plays American Alex Bogomolov Jr. for a place in the main draw.
The top seed in the main draw is World No. 20 Tommy Haas of Germany.
