Stockholm, Oct 20 (DPA) Two tennis players entered for the Stockholm Open have been fined for tying to buy sexual favours at a hotel in Stockholm, police and news reports said Monday.
“The players have been fined,” Jonas Trolle of the Stockholm police told the online edition of Expressen newspaper. The names of the players were not released. The report said they were allowed to play the tournament.
Sweden banned the purchase of sexual favours in 1999, although prostitutes offering such services are not punished.
