Bhopal, Nov 4 (Inditop.com) Four men suspected to be terrorists and believed to have links with the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) have been arrested from a Madhya Pradesh town, police said Wednesday.
“The four men were arrested in a joint operation by the Madhya Pradesh Anti Terror Squad (ATS) and the state police from the Char Khambha area of Jabalpur,” state ATS chief Pawan Srivastava said.
“Of the arrested men, while Afroze and Azad are residents of Jabalpur, Anamul Rehman and Amjad belong to Khandwa,” he said.
The four men are suspected to be involved in terrorist activities. Afroze is also wanted in connection with the Gujarat blasts in 2008, Srivastava added.
Several CDs and incriminating documents have been recovered from their possession, police said.
Jabalpur is some 350 km from Bhopal.
