Kolkata, Oct 2 (Inditop.com) Suspected Maoist guerrillas killed a Jharkhand Janamukti Morcha (JJM) leader in West Bengal’s West Midnapore district and left his body on the roadside, police said Friday.

JMM local committee president Panchanan Tudu was kidnapped from his home in Patiyari village in Binpur, about 200 km from here, late Thursday. His body was found by villagers Friday morning.

“A group of Maoist rebels came to Binpur locality and killed Tudu late Thursday night. His body was found lying on the road this morning,” West Midnapore Police Superintendent M.K Verma told Inditop.

He said police had taken custody of the body.
