New Delhi, July 15 (Inditop.com) Police Wednesday said they have arrested a Delhi trader who allegedly used to supply sophisticated wireless sets and modern equipment to Maoists in Jharkhand.
Praveen Kumar was arrested from Palika Bazaar Tuesday after a tip off from the Jharkhand police.
“He was wanted by the Jharkhand police. His job was to procure prohibited and illegal equipments for (Maoists),” Delhi Police Commissioner Y.S. Dadwal told reporters here.
The suspected supplier has been handed over to the Jharkhand police.
“The Jharkhand police have taken him for interrogation,” said another police official.
Praveen is a resident of east Delhi.
The arrest follows the seizure of a consignment of sophisticated wireless sets and modern equipment sent by air from New Delhi to Ranchi Tuesday.
