Indian-American scientist Jay Bhattacharya, a staunch critic of pandemic lockdowns and vaccine mandates, has been tapped by former US President Donald Trump to lead the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Bhattacharya, a Stanford professor, will partner with Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Trump’s HHS nominee. This marks Trump’s first Indian-American nomination for a senior role.
