Dubai, Aug 19 (IANS/WAM) Around 11,000 food samples have been tested in laboratories in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in 2010 to ascertain their suitability for human consumption.
The Food and Environment Laboratory of the Dubai Municipality conducted chemical, radiological and microbiological tests on the samples.
The laboratory also analysed samples of sea water and waste water from industries and found them to be fit for consumption. It also checked samples of camel milk and the proportion of alcohol in chocolate exported to European countries.
