Baghdad, April 24 (IANS/EFE) A total of 20 people, including 13 Islamic State (IS) militants, were killed and 16 others injured as clashes broke out in the Al Anbar province of Iraq on Friday.

The dead included seven Iraqi soldiers and their allied Shia militias.
An Iraqi police offiical said the IS carried out a series of suicide bombings in Nazem al-Tharthar, an area located in Fallujah city. Heavy fighting broke out after the bombings, leaving 16 people from the government-side wounded.
At least 13 IS militants were killed in the firing by the Iraqi forces and the clashes were on till last report, the source added.
