Baghdad, June 7 (IANS) Fourteen people were killed and 57 wounded Monday in attacks targeting police in Baghdad and in the country’s western Anbar province, Xinhua reported.

A policeman and a civilian were killed in a bomb blast in Baghdad’s southern Baiyaa district. Three other policemen and four civilians were wounded.

In another bomb attack in the district, three policemen and two civilians were wounded.

In Qaim city of Anbar province, two policemen were killed and two others wounded in a bomb attack, a provincial police official said requesting anonymity.

Six more people were wounded, including a policeman, when militants detonated explosives in a house in Hit city of the province.

Ten more people were killed and 37 wounded in attacks in Baghdad and Anbar province, police said.
