Kathmandu, April 30 (IANS) Fifteen of the 19 people killed in avalanches near Mount Everest following massive earthquake on April 25 that devastated Nepal have been identified, Nepal’s tourism department said on Thursday.

“Among the 15 identified, 10 are Nepalese and five are foreign nationals,” an official from the department said.
The five foreign nationals are Renu Fotedar from Australia, Google executive Dan Fredinburg and Marisa Eve Girawong from the US, Ji Jenfang from China, and Yomagato Horosi from Japan, Xinhua news agency reported.
A total of 370 climbers were given permits from the tourism department.
An avalanche in the Everest region killed 16 sherpa guides in April last year.
