Beijing, July 28 (IANS) Floods have left at least 928 people dead and 477 missing across China as of July 28 this year, authorities said Wednesday.
According to the State Flood Control and Drought Relief Headquarters (SFDH), floods had affected a total of 134 million people in 28 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, resulting in direct economic losses of 176.5 billion yuan ($26.04 billion), Xinhua reported.
About 875,000 homes had collapsed and 9.61 million people had been evacuated, the SFDH said.
