Santiago, June 19 (IANS) Striker Sergio Aguero wants to stay at Manchester City this summer as he looks to fulfil his ambition of winning the European Champions League while rejecting the advances of Spanish football giants Real Madrid.

Aguero has been followed by Real as new manager Rafa Benitez leads a summer revamp after a trophyless season, but the 27-year-old says he has no interest in moving.
The English Premier League runners-up tied down their top goalscorer to a new five-year contract in August 2014, and he plans to continue his successful four-year stay in search of European glory.
“The only reason a player should leave a club is to achieve things, and I can achieve all I want to at City,” Aguero was quoted as saying by dailymail.co.uk on Friday.

“I can’t stop rumours. I can’t stop people writing things, but what I do is repeat what I have already said, and that is that I’m very happy at Manchester City.”
The Argentine striker finished as EPL’s top goalscorer despite a disappointing campaign for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, and he now has his eyes on winning the title back as well as progress in the Champions League.
“I have had success over the last four seasons there and I’m hungry for a lot more. Of course the Premier League is a big priority and we want to win it back, but it is a big dream to win the Champions League at City as well,” Aguero said.
“Each summer, City will add some of the best players in the world to the squad,’ he said. “That is the way of the clubs who want to win titles. I’m sure that this summer will be the same.”
