Beijing, May 2 (IANS) Air China Wednesday launched direct flights from the country’s southwestern city of Chengdu to Mumbai.
The airline will use Airbus A319 aircraft for the flights every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, the company said. One side of the trip will take about five hours, Xinhua reported.
This is the airline’s second direct air route between Chengdu and India. The carrier earlier opened a Chengdu-Bangalore flight in February 2010.
Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan province. It is a major economic hub in western China.
