New York, Dec 28 (DPA) A photograph allegedly showing a young John F. Kennedy sunbathing on a yacht among four naked women has been discovered, the celebrity website TMZ reported Monday.
The black-and-white photograph, severely creased, shows a young and tanned Kennedy relaxing aboard a yacht. Two nude women are lounging above him, while another climbs a ladder back onto the boat.
Another naked woman is jumping, hands raised, into the water.
TMZ, the site that first broke the news of the death of Michael Jackson, insisted that the picture was authentic.
The website says it had numerous experts examine the picture, and that all are convinced it was not faked or altered.
If the photo had turned up 50 years earlier, and assuming it is not a fake, it may have changed history – hurting Kennedy’s chances of running for the White House.
“The original print… was scanned and examined for evidence of inconsistent lighting, photo composition and other forms of manipulation. The experts all concluded the photo appears authentic,” TMZ said.
The photo was allegedly taken during a two-week sailing trip in the Mediterranean that Kennedy, then a senator, took with his brother Ted and another senator. At the time of the trip, Kennedy’s pregnant wife Jackie was in hospital giving birth.
According to TMZ, the photo was owned by a man on the East Coast who liked to brag he had a photo of JFK with naked women on a boat.
The man’s son, who inherited the photo when the man died 10 years ago, has only now discovered it.
