Rio de Janeiro, Oct 18 (IANS) Brazil international midfielder Paulinho has denied speculation that he is set to join English football giant Chelsea.

The 24-year-old has been a standout performer for Corinthians this season and continued his impressive form for Brazil’s national team during their friendly victories over Iraq and Japan in the past week, reports Xinhua.
Chelsea is reportedly leading the race to sign the playmaker with Inter Milan and CSKA Moscow also understood to have shown interest.
“It is just speculation, there is nothing official,” Paulinho said Wednesday.
Corinthians coach Tite also dismissed the rumours, saying Paulinho would not be lured by money alone.
“I have no idea where this information has come from,” Tite said. “Money doesn’t buy everything. It could be a big contract but if the player is smart and has ambition like Paulinho does then money will not be enough.”
