London, April 30 (IANS) A woman’s eyes were gouged out and she was mercilessly beaten for 12 hours by her boyfriend in Britain, a media report said.
Thirtyone-year-old Tina Nash’s boyfriend Shane Jenkin has been arrested and charged with the attack. He came home drunk and launched the merciless attack, the media report said.
The Sun said that she suffered a smashed jaw and a broken nose as her lover attempted to repeatedly suffocate her in Hayle, Cornwall.
‘Tina’s conscious but she’s in a great deal of pain. Both her eye sockets have been shattered and she has a broken nose too. We’re all in total shock,’ Tina’s sister Tracey Burstow was qouted as saying.
Another relative said: ‘The attack went on all night. He punched her, tried to suffocate her and then brought her back to life.’
Tina suffered ‘life-changing injuries’ in the attack, police said.
