London, Nov 12 (IANS) An 18th century Chinese vase, found by two siblings while cleaning their house, has sold for a record-breaking 53.1 million pounds.

The Qianlong-era porcelain vase recorded the highest ever price of any Chinese artwork sold at auction, the Daily Telegraph reported Friday.The report did not name the buyer.

It was estimated to fetch between 800,000 to 1.2 million pounds by the Bainbridges auction house.

The elaborately decorated piece was put up for sale by a brother and sister who found it while clearing out their parents’ home in Pinner in northwest London.
