London, Feb 17 (IANS) Actress Halle Berry has won a court battle to take her two-year-old daughter Nahla to New York.
The Oscar-winning actress attended a court hearing in Los Angeles Wednesday to allow her to take her child to New York to shoot a role in romantic comedy ‘New Year’s Eve’, just hours after it was reported Berry and Gabriel Aubry, who is Nahla’s father, had called a truce in their custody battle.
‘We are pleased the judge took the time to deal with this very imminent and important issue. The judge read a great deal of paperwork and gave us time to argue. Halle is very pleased with the judge’s order,’ femalefirst.co.uk quoted Halle’s lawyer Neal Hersh as saying.
The 44-year-old is reported to be in New York soon.
According to RadarOnline.com, Aubry had entered a motion in court Tuesday to end his custody case and dismiss his request for child support from Berry.
