London, April 18 (IANS) The date of Jesus’s last supper has long been miscalculated by the church, a British expert has claimed.
The church has been observing the occasion on Maundy Thursday, but Colin Humphreys, a scientist at Cambridge University, says the last supper took place on the Wednesday before the crucifixion.
Humphreys says his findings could present a case for introducing a fixed date for Easter, according to the Daily Express.
In a new book, ‘The Mystery Of The Last Supper’, Humphreys uses Biblical, historical and astronomical research to find out the precise nature and timing of Jesus’s final meal with his disciples.
He also says the crucifixion took place April 3, and the resurrection April 5.
