Dhaka, June 20 (IANS) Bangladesh will this year-end join select democracies worldwide to have a separate television channel to telecast parliament proceedings.
The dry run would start next month for the new satellite TV channel, Information Minister Abul Kalam Azad said.
Called ‘Sangsad Bangladesh’, it would begin digital terrestrial test transmission in December in Dhaka, the national capital, and Chittagong and Khulna in the south, The Daily Star said Sunday.
The new channel will also broadcast different programmes on development.
Earlier, the House passed a resolution for setting up a separate TV channel for broadcasting parliamentary proceedings.
