Bridgetown (Barbados), May 31 (IANS/CMC) The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) has appointed Graeme West of England as the new head coach of the high performance centre here.

The 39-year-old will take over from Jamaican Andre Coley who has served as the academy’s interim director since Toby Radford’s sudden departure last year April.
Coley will now serve as West’s assistant.
West is a former Middlesex County academy director who also served as the Middlesex Cricket Board’s development officer.
He worked extensively with youth age group squads while attached to the County.
Ironically five years ago, West replaced Radford as Middlesex’s academy director after Radford was named first team coach.
Radford left the HPC less than a year after its unveiling to take up a position as a specialist batting coach but earlier this year, was appointed assistant coach of the West Indies team.
