Berlin, May 24 (IANS) Hoffenheim and Kevin Volland agreed on a contract extension until June 2019, the “TSG” confirmed in an official statement.

The 22-year-old German international striker penned a two-year contract extension, which keeps him at Hoffenheim until June 2019. Xinhua news agency reported.
“This is a vote of confidence in our work. I am pleased that Kevin wants to continue this path and to pursue his individual development as well as of the entire team,” Hoffenheim coach Markus Gisdol said.
Volland joined Hoffenheim from second division side 1860 Munich in 2012 to become one of the go-to players. He scored 25 goals in 97 appearances overall. His performances in Germany’s top flight earned him a call up by Germany coach Joachim Loew in 2014.
“My way with Hoffenheim is not over yet. I feel comfortable here and am pleased that the tiresome discussions and sometime absurd speculations, with which club I was in contact, are now over,” Kevin Volland said.
Hoffenheim completed the Bundesliga season 2014-2015 on the eighth place.
