New York, May 1 (IANS) Actor Hugh Jackman is set to receive an honorary Tony award for his outstanding theatre achievements and fundraising efforts.

The actor raised more than $857,740 for Broadway Cares by auctioning off his undershirts after each gig. He also set the record of highest weekly earnings with his show grossing over $2 million in its final week at the Shubert Organisation theatre company, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Stage veteran Bernadette Peters will also be presented with a special accolade.
The ceremony will take place here June 10 and will be hosted by comedian Neil Patrick Harris.
