New Delhi, Jan 29 (Inditop.com) It’s India calling for Singapore-based luxury boutique hotel chain Alila Hotels and Resorts who have made the country’s popular tourist region, Goa, their first destination with an investment of Rs.1 billion. Over the next one year, it will go to Bangalore and Kerala.

The hotel chain invested more than Rs.1 billion in the 149-room personalised lifestyle hotel Alila Diwa Goa, located in Majorda in south Goa.

“These days people prefer holidays that are tailor-made, suiting their needs. Therefore, in an effort to help our customers enjoy a holiday that they want, we give them a personal preference menu. Whether you want a family adventure, a romantic escapade, children’s adventure, cultural learning or a sporty holiday – we tailor-make it for you depending on your preference,” Alila Diwa Goa general manager Saji Joseph told Inditop.

“All you need to do is send us an email on your preference and when you are here, you can just relax and enjoy the holiday menu prepared for you,” he added.

A young hotel chain which started operations in 2000, the Alila hotel chain has 10 properties in Asia of which four were inaugurated this year itself.

“We inaugurated four new properties this year — two in Bali, one in the Maldives and one in Goa. Well, actually we inaugurated the Goa property in the end of December last year, but have made the official announcement only now,” Joseph said.

Every hotel of the group is designed according to the place that they are in, he said.

“For instance, in our Goa property you will not find the usual coffee latte that you find in other coffee shops and hotels. We have specially blended coffee from India made available in our coffee shop, as well as natural soaps made here. Goan aesthetics have heavily influenced the architecture as well,” Joseph said.

“And on top of everything, Alila comes from a Sanskrit word which means alive. So the India connection is quite strong!” he added.

The Alila group will inaugurate their property in Bangalore by the year-end, while two more hotels in Kerala will be inaugurated next year.
