Tehran, Sep 12 (DPA) Tehran Saturday said it was ready to resume diplomatic talks with the West on the basis of its latest proposals regarding global issues, but vowed to make no concessions in the nuclear dispute.
“Iran is seriously willing to enter talks with the world powers on the basis of the items mentioned in the latest package,” Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said in a press briefing in Tehran.
“We can however make no concessions as far as the (nuclear) rights of the nation is concerned,” the foreign minister added.
Six countries — the five permanent member states of United Nations Security Council plus Germany — have warned if Iran did not enter the talks within the current month, the Islamic state could face further financial sanctions.
“If these (six) countries intend to continue the already failed policy of sanctions, then it will be their business,” Mottaki said.
