London, Sep 1 (IANS) Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has filmed a video where she urges fans to donate aid supplies to victims of the devastating floods in Pakistan.
The actress, who is also a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations, has already donated over $100,000 of her own money to help those worst affected and she used her recent publicity tour for new movie ‘Salt’ to raise awareness about the disaster, reports contactmsuic.com.
‘This is not just a humanitarian crisis. It is an economic and social catastrophe. The more support we can give, the greater number of tents, food, clean water and medicine will get to the people in need,’ she said in the new public service announcement (PSA) that she recorded for the UN.
More than 1,500 people have been killed after torrential downpours caused the worst flooding in Pakistan in a century.
