London, Aug 5 (IANS) Hollywood actress Julia Roberts is not a Botox fan as she thinks Botox takes away the reality quotient and leaves the face look frozen, expressionless.
The 42-year-old who is the face of French cosmetic company Lancome doesn’t want to experience the wrinkle-smoothing injections which leaves people with frozen-looking faces because she wants her children to be able to understand her expressions.
‘It’s unfortunate that we live in such a panicked, dysmorphic society where women don’t even give themselves a chance to see what they’ll look like as an older person,’ contactmusic.com quoted her as saying.
‘I want to have some idea of what I’ll look like before I start cleaning the slates. I want my kids to know when I’m p***ed, when I’m happy, and when I’m confounded. Your face tells a story and it shouldn’t be a story about your drive to the doctor’s office,’ she added.
Julia has three kids, five-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus and son Henry, three, with her cameraman husband Daniel Moder.
