Dubai, Dec 15 (IANS) Filmmaker Karan Johar would discuss prospects of business and cultural collaboration with various foreign film industries at the 7th Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) Thursday, an official said.
‘This panel will discuss foreign business and cultural collaboration of films. The Indian market is huge. From a foreigner’s point of view, and that includes the Arab world, there are not too many ways of strategic collaborations. There is not much cultural exchange. It would be an industry panel, so there would be professionals sitting there,’ programme consultant (sub-continent) Dorothee Wenner told IANS.
Reliance Entertainment chairman Amit Khanna will accompany Karan at the panel discussion.
‘The masterminds of Bollywood are here because they seek an interaction with, lets say, Arab sales persons or people who know this market or Indian market. I know professionals here who know who Karan Johar or Amit Khanna are,’ said Wenner.
The eight-day festival, which opened Sunday, will conclude Dec 19.
