Los Angeles, Sep 17 (IANS) Hollywood actor Shia LaBeouf has sent his words of encouragement to veteran actor Michael Douglas who has been diagnosed with throat cancer.
‘Michael is the epitome of strength. I mean, he’s stoic, and I don’t think he would want any kind of sympathy call or check-up at all,’ said LaBeouf, who stars alongside Douglas in new film ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’.
In an interview to Entertainment Weekly, the actor said: ‘In fact, I think he’s the exact opposite. I just think cancer picked the wrong guy when he picked Michael. Michael, he’s going to be fine.’
A host of other celebrities have also shared their belief that the 65-year-old actor will recover, including Mad Men’s Jon Hamm, Matt Damon and Bill Murray.
