New York, Aug 22 (IANS) Maggie Gyllenhaal, known for her role in ‘Secretary’, has been roped in to star in the romantic comedy ‘Hysteria’, about the invention of a vibrator to treat women’s hysteria.
Set in Victorian London, the film will see Gyllenhaal, 32, playing the daughter of a doctor, who, with his young colleague (Hugh Dancy) treats cases of female hysteria with a new electrical device, reports Variety.
