Islamabad, May 2 (IANS) Brother of Abadi Jawed Nagori, a minister in Pakistan’s Sindh province, was succumed to injuries on Friday after he was hit by a hand grenade at the office of the minister in Karachi, media reported on Saturday.

Six people were injured when the minister’s office located at Shah Waliullah Road in Lyari was attacked with gun and grenades on Friday evening, Dawn online reported.
They were brought to the Civil Hospital in the city, where Akbar Nagori, the brother of the minister, died during treatment.
He had received multiple injuries.
Police said the office of Nagori was attacked with firing and grenades on Friday evening.

Sindh province Chief minister Qaim Ali Shah took cognizance of the incident and sought a detailed report from the Inspector General of Police Ghulam Haider Jamali.
Police held elements of the gang war responsible for the attack.
Jamali termed the assault as a reaction to the successful operation against criminal gangs in Lyari by law enforcement agencies.
