Islamabad, April 21 (IANS) Five militants and two security personnel were Tuesday killed in an anti-terror operation by the Balochistan Frontier Corps in Pakistan, media reported.
The security forces launched an operation against terrorists in Gwadar district of the Balochistan province on Tuesday morning, Dawn online quoted Frontier Corps spokesperson Khan Wasey as saying.
“The exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists was continuing,” Wasey said.
In another incident, security forces killed four suspected militants in Balochistan’s Awaran district on Tuesday morning.
A security official said the terrorists opened fire at a security forces’ convoy in Mashkay area of Awaran. He said four of the attackers were killed when the security forces responded with retaliatory firing.
