London, Aug 10 (IANS/RIA Novosti) Britain’s Anthony Ogogo and Abbos Atoev of Uzbekistan won bronze in the men’s Olympic 75kg boxing here Friday after losing their respective semi-final bouts.

The results mean that Japan’s Ryo Murata and Brazil’s Esquiva Falcao Florentino will fight it out for the gold Saturday.
Ogogo was attempting to emulate the gold medal winning success of fellow Briton James DeGale (75kg) in Beijing four years ago, but lost 16-9 to Falcao Florentino.
After a cautious first round that ended 3-3, the Brazilian stamped his authority on the contest, taking the second round 6-3 before knocking Ogogo down twice in the third on his way to winning 7-3.
Atoev took the first round of his semi-fianl 4-1, but lost the fight in the last three minutes, with the final score of 13-12, to Murata, silver medallist at last year’s World Championships.
Atoev rained down blows early in second round before Murata moved up a gear and put Atoev under pressure for the first time in the fight.
The round was scored 4-4, leaving Murata with ground to make up in the third, which he did in some style, taking the round 8-4 as Atoev received a warning.
