Islamabad, Aug 1 (IANS) Pakistan has increased petrol prices, an official said.

The prices of petroleum products, barring high speed diesel, have been increased for August, reported the daily Dawn.

Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority spokesman Syed Jawad Nasim said Sunday the price of petrol has been increased by Rs.1.09 per litre. It has now gone up to Rs.84.80 from Rs.83.71.

Kerosene price has been increased by Rs.1.97 per litre. It will now cost Rs.84.65 per litre.

Light diesel oil price has been increased by Rs.2.13 per litre. The latest price was Rs.83.52, up from Rs.81.39.

The high speed diesel price, however, remained unchanged at Rs.92.10 per litre.
