Miami, July 1 (IANS/EFE) This week saw no change in the top three spots on the Billboard Latin Songs chart. Romeo Santos remained at No. 1 with ‘You’, followed by Don Omar’s ‘Taboo’ and Jennifer Lopez’s ‘Ven a bailar’, featuring Pitbull.
Intocable climbed from fifth place to fourth with ‘Prometi’, bumping ‘Te amo y te amo’, by La Adictiva Banda San Jose de Mesillas, down to No. 5.
Actor/singer Jencarlos Canela debuted at the top of the Latin Albums chart with ‘Un nuevo dia’, a disc of songs made famous on his Telemundo soap opera, ‘Mi corazon insiste en Lola Volcan’.
Canela’s arrival displaced the latest CD by Mexican rockers Mana, ‘Drama y Luz’, while Prince Royce’s self-titled album held the third spot.
No. 4 on the album chart was ‘Natalia’, a solo effort by former La Quinta Estacion lead singer Natalia Jimenez. Aventura’s ’14 + 14′ dropped from third place to fifth.
