London, April 29 (IANS) The cute, little bridesmaids, two of them as young as three years, and the pageboys at the British royal wedding were all ‘impeccably behaved’ throughout the entire ceremony.

They seemed unfazed by the attention as they entered the Westminster Abbey ahead of bride Kate. The two youngest were holding Pippa Middleton’s hands.

‘Pippa appears to have been a calming influence on the youngsters, who were all impeccably behaved throughout the journey and the ceremony’, the Daily Mail commented.

The bridesmaids – Grace van Cutsem (three), Eliza Lopes (three), Lady Louise Windsor (seven) and the Hon Margarita Armstrong-Jones (eight) – all wore Nicki Macfarlane white frocks.

The white dresses were all handmade with English Cluny lace and featured dark cream sashes, tied at the back with a large bow.

Their hair flower arrangements were made by by Kate’s florist Shane Connolly.

Satin Mary Jane pumps studded with Swarovski crystal on the buckles that were made by Devon-based Rainbow Club completed the bridesmaids’ look.

The pageboys – Tom Pettifer (eight), and Billy Lowther-Pinkerton (10) – were dressed in red tunics of a Foot Guards officer, similar to William’s formal Irish Guards attire of a red jacket with gold braiding.

The uniforms, including William’s, were designed by Kashket and Partners.

All the children have close ties to William.

Lady Louise Windsor is William’s cousin, while Tom Pettifer and Grace van Cutsem are his god-children.

Billy is the son of William and Harry’s private secretary, Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, and Margarita Armstrong-Jones is William’s second cousin.
