Vancouver, Aug 7 (Inditop.com) A Canadian man has put his Xbox video-game console autographed by former US presidential candidate Sarah Palin on eBay for an asking price of $1.1 million.

David Morrill put his video-gaming system on the Internet site Thursday with this description: “The infamous Sarah Palin XBOX 360 was autographed at the governor’s picnic on July 24, 2009, in Wasilla, Alaska, just two days before her resignation as governor of that state.

“You can own this 60GB, perfect-condition, one-of-a-kind item before her expected run for president of the United States of America in 2012.”

Funnily enough, someone from Jacksonville in Florida quickly prepared a replica of this Sarah Palin-signed Xbox and put it also on eBay, with a starting bid of $1,100.

The replica posting reads: “This is a replica of the infamous Sarah Palin Xbox 360.

“The original was autographed at the governor’s picnic on July 24, 2009, in Wasilla, Alaska, just two days before her resignation as governor of that state.

“This replica has been painstakingly recrafted using detailed photographs of the original signed Xbox 360, (and) imagery of Palin’s signature on the infamous ‘helicopter-wolf-hunting’ bill from 2003.”

According to Calgary Herald, Morrill, who lives near Edmonton, drove the Alaska Highway last month to see “the most famous person from that state (Alaska)”.

The newspaper said he reached the governor’s picnic party in Wasilla July 24 and managed to push his way to the front of the receiving line, with his Xbox in hand.

He told Palin that he had travelled for three days to meet her, then asked her to autograph his Xbox as proof he had actually seen her, the newspaper said.

Morrill said Palin happily obliged and told him it was the “most extravagant” item she had ever been asked to sign.

“It was one of the greatest thrills of my life to have watched this person on CNN, SNL, YouTube and then to see her right in front of me,” Morrill said.

He said, “I then packed up my Xbox 360 and headed home.”

Both the originally signed Xbox and its replica have not received any bids yet on eBay.
