New York, June 26 (IANS) Satnam Singh Bhamara created history by becoming the first Indian to get drafted in the National Basketball Association (NBA) here.
The seven feet two inches tall Indian has been picked by Dallas Mavericks. He earlier took part in training sessions with top teams like Sacramento Kings and Boston Celtics.
Satnam hails from Ballo Ke, a village of about 800 people in the state of Punjab and recently played for the IMG Academy graduate team during the 2014-15 season.
