Riyadh, July 3 (IANS) The Saudi interior ministry announced on Friday the death of one of its personnel during a raid to arrest three Islamic State (IS) members in Taif district, Al Arabiya reported.

Interior ministry spokesperson Major-General Mansoor Al Turki said that while policemen were inspecting a house in the district they were shot at.
The forces shot back and arrested the three suspects. IS flags, silencers and computers were confiscated from their house. The shootout led to the death of the police personnel.
The spokesperson called upon the fugitive Yousif Abdullateef Al Ghamdi to hand himself over to the police and urged people with information about him to call the hotline 990. He said that those who will provide information will benefit from the recently announced rewards.
Al Ghamdi is wanted for a terrorist case and there is monetary reward for those who could help in his arrest, Xinhua news agency said.
Saudi Arabia announced this week that 57 suspects were sentenced from six months to 20 years in terrorism and incitement cases in the last three months.
