Damascus, April 4 (IANS) Twin blasts ripped through two residential areas in the Syrian capital of Damascus Wednesday, killing seven people and injuring many others, media reports said.
The first explosion occurred at the Barza neighbourhood in Damascus at 6 a.m., but no casualties were reported, Xinhua reported.
According to Ekhbaria TV, unidentified gunmen hurled three bombs that damaged three parked cars.
Television footage showed torched cars and shattered windows of nearby buildings.
The second blast took place in Beit Sahem town of Damascus, when explosive device went off while being prepared by ” terrorists” at a two-storey building, the state-run SANA news agency reported.
The explosion killed seven people, including four children and two women, and injured four others while destroying the building.
