Sydney, Feb 7 (IANS) A single punch in the face during a ‘chance meeting’ killed a 48-year-old man in a town in the Lake Macquarie region of Australia’s New South Wales state.

A 50-year-old allegedly punched the man from Budgewoi, a suburb, in the face about 12.30 a.m. Sunday, knocking him to the road where he died of his injuries, The Telegraph reported Monday.

Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command Chief Inspector Rod Peet said the incident was ‘a chance meeting’, and the two did not know each other.
