Islamabad, Oct 4 (IANS) At least six people were killed and three injured in a US drone attack launched late Monday in Pakistan’s northwest tribal region, Xinhua reported.
The strike took place at about 7:30 p.m. when the US drones fired four missiles, two of which were targeting the house of a militant leader, named Shar Mullah Khan, in the Mir Ali area of Miranshah in North Waziristan, sources said.
Khan was arrested four months ago by Pakistani authorities together with 11 foreign militants.
The US military has increased its missile strikes against militants in tribal areas. The US drones Saturday launched two strikes in North Waziristan in which 18 militants were reportedly killed.
