Washington, Sep 20 (Prensa Latina) Former CIA officials have urged the US administration to stop the investigation into prisoners’ abuse as it could jeopardise the work of the spy agency.
Seven ex-chiefs of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) have sent letters to the Justice Department to stop the inquiry over prisoners’ abuse by CIA officials, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday.
They urged President Barack Obama to abort the investigation.
The former CIA chiefs have run the organisation for last 35 years under the administrations of both Democrats and Republicans.
