Berlin, June 25 (IANS) Stuttgart reinforced their squad with a double signing, the “Swabians” confirmed in an official statement.
The “VfB” signed Polish international Przemyslaw Tyton from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven until June 2017, while Lukas Rupp joined from relegated outfit Paderborn by putting pen to paper on a three-year deal, reported Xinhua news agency.
Tyton made 13 caps for the Polish national team and played on loan at Spanish side Elche FC lately. “I am glad to play now at VfB, which is a great club with great fans and a great history. I will show my qualities to establish my position in the national team through good performances,” the custodian said.
“Przemyslaw Tyton convinced and impressed us with his performances in Spain’s top-flight division,” Stuttgart’s sporting director Robin Dutt said on Wednesday.
The “Swabians” also strengthen their midfield with the signing of Lukas Rupp who joins from relegated side Paderborn. The 24-year-old midfielder made 31 top-flight appearances with Paderborn to provide two assists and four goals.
“The VfB is a great club with a great history. The talks with those responsible convinced me from the beginning. I am looking forward to a successful future with Stuttgart,” Rupp told the club’s official homepage.
