Kabul, Dec 19 (DPA) Five Afghan soldiers were killed and nine injured when two suicide bombers attacked an army vehicle in Kabul Sunday, the interior ministry said.
One of the attackers detonated his suicide vest and the other one was killed by police, ministry spokesman Zemarai Bashari said.
‘Two suicide bombers attacked the Afghan national army vehicle on Jalalabad highway. Five people from Afghan army died. Nine others were injured,’ Bashari said.
There were no civilian casualties.
Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the attack, the first in the Afghan capital in seven months.
